Intel has just released thunderbolt, which is a 10 Gb/s interconnect that can carry PCI Express. Given that some people were using the RED ROCKET in enclosures with ExpressCard (2.5Gb/s) with some success, do you think that Thunderbolt will be able to support the RED ROCKET as well as storage at the same time?

i think best move is for PCI expansion chassis companies to move in on thunderbolt like butter on toast. 10 gb is gonna be awesome for let's say a 4 slot expander like the magma box. rocket, esata card, i/o board like mxo LE, or u could have a i/o hd off the fw 800. the variations are gonna be great.

plus when you get the 17 inch u still get the expresscard too. the combos are gonna be great.
