Does anyone know if the new REDLogFilm is Cineon compliant or do you have to bring down the exposure by -2 like you had to do with REDLog985 to make it Cineon Log compliant.

What is the deal with the new REDLogFilm.. is it good to go for film prints?

RedLogFilm is cineon compliant, and works like a charm with other cineon tools.

It's excellent for grading, generally.

I have som additional thought on it, but I'll document those in the upcomming skintone bracketing exposure test which is soon to be finnished....

But generally RLF is almost all we ever wished for.

Linearises like a champ in Nuke.

Cineon compliant and converts in tools like Nuke to linear with a default conversion.

so to conform... you don't have to bring down the exposure like you had to do with REDLog985?

Please confirm this is correct.
Thanks

That would be correct. RedLog 985 was a completely nonstandard format. RedlogFilm is not.

You'll be happy to know (if you didn't already) that the Epic Ted had when he came through Istanbul actually had a RedLogFilm setting in camera, so you could see exactly what you would be grading :) Pretty cool.
