Love the BTS stuff. This pic is a bit blurry, I was wondering what kind of rig this is?

Could I ask, what ind of slider is this: http://hd5k.com/web-6.jpg
And - assuming that this is the same LCD that will ship with the Scarlet Fixed -, could you tell us more about the touchscreen's picture, handling?

i have a lot more pics from today, but no time to post right now...when we wrap or tomorrow ill post.

i believe it is "the original slider"

I just finished as DP with Dino and Epic on these Rosetta Stone spots, and I had a positive experience with the camera. Granted, only spent two days with it, but no crashes or lock-ups, 10 second boot up, terrific weight for hand held, dead simple touch interface (though I generally prefer old school knobs and switches, which are also provided). SSDs rock. I knew Epic was supposed to run high speed at 5K, but I didn't think about the simple pleasure of bumping up to 60 fps with a single menu item.

I didn't do any comparisons with other cameras or run any technical tests, so this is just my gut reaction: terrific image, lovely color, very natural, impressive latitude (spent half a day shooting on the beach with black rocks, specular glints, and bright sun). Viewing on set is never ideal, however Dino was prepared and had a full blackout tent over his monitors. Long story short: damn impressive camera.

here are more pictures of that shoot..andrew with the green coat..

for those of you that are paying attention, that is right the old trusty, rusty, red#0031 was pulled out for the final shot of the show...poor guy needed a much deserved break....

i believe it is "the original slider"

www.theslider.com

Greatest one I have used and I have tried a lot of them.
Also best customer service from Jerry and Ron.
I have the 3 foot and the mini slider and would never trade them for anything else.
Very expensive but it's hands down the best slider I have used to date.
I have yet to try the one from Walter Klassen called the side-step III and hear great things about it.

Cheers.
