lately i received a couple of jobs , shot on RED that have image problems .
I tested the R3D on :
Scartch out of teh SDI
Redcinex Out of the SDI
Davinci Out of teh SDI
scrolling the image frame by frame ,i can totally notice that 50% of the frames (means one yes , one no , one yes , one no etc...)have horizontal aliasing ,and image is not sharp ..
I work on many many red projects and i noticed this only on 2 jobs (coming from different RED cameras ...)
i am wondering if is related to the shutter aperture or a camera problem ...
I am attaching 4 consecutive frames (exported from RCX as full res tiff than cropped a )to show you the what i am talking about (take a look at the bottom left corner on the road to notice how the image gets out of focus every 2 frames introducing horizontal lines , and if you save the jpeg on you open in preview scrolling between the images you'll see the effect on the image during the playback...
PS:the camera was on the trypod ...so teh issue is totally on teh sensor level...
i am wondering if is related to the shutter aperture or a camera problem ...
