  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Holy S#%¥

Nice find Ian, I rally liked how the helicopter nosed dived next to the mountains. In fact at one point I thought someone was going to get their head chopped right off.

Yeah this stuff makes me want to go climb onto a snow bank or something.
Can't wait to go trekking through the hills with my Epic in a back pack.

This thread could not have been titled better. Geezus, that is some gorgeous imagery.

Amazing video. Can't wait til the film comes out...

The Red Bull Guys at their best ..... in front and behind the lens .... awesome ...

Love it.

Also have to note, the snowmobile jump at 2:45... I did that once before, unintentionally. It didn't have a good ending. ;)

well .... the landing isn't included in the clip .... ;-)

Snow bank? I thought for sure you'd be heading south for a steamy perspective. Lots of beautiful wild life in the Islands bro.:emote_hippie:

Oh and they use practically every camera under the sun, Red's feature prominitly and sony gear in the Cineflex and Phantoms for the slomo.

Yeah, amazing stuff. It takes a certain type to hump the gear up mountains and around in the snow and get such amazing shots. My hat is off.
Cheers,
Harry

I have driven around the hills in JA with my R1 shooting some georgeous stuff. But the last time I backpacked up to Blue Mountain peak with camera gear in my pack I was doing a lot of panting. Not looking forward to doing it with a R1 kit. A nice compact Epic package would be just what the doc ordered. Now I just need nice little lightweight tripod to strap on to the backpack. Any suggestions?

i have this one that's like 3 inches tall, if you've got an epic, that' will probably be enough. you can borrow it if you want.

Ian, try MPRO Carbon Fibre 3-Stage Video Tripod: http://www.manfrotto.com/product/8709.58969.76923.0.0/536/_/MPRO_Carbon_Fibre_3-Stage_Video_Tripod

And a small 75mm or 100mm ball. That should do for back packing.

As for Blue mountain??? Try Calgary its only 2 hours away... by plane :smile5:

Yea, and some dudes die from time to time. One of my friend, former snowboard pro, is on a wheelchair for rest of his life.

Petr,

you are right,

also I know some of badly injured snowborders, mountain bikers and divers.

In that case I like the latest quadcopter "drones" like this one at the picture below
