If you intend to be used with RED. I highly suggest you not to use it. Buy from RED instead !

Get the red station. You don't need the base to make it work, and it is really really really really nice. And fast.

i understand your points, but i honestly dont see the point in buying a $250 device when the EPIC with its redmag ssd cards is happening soon (have to save up for those jams anyway). all the firewire 800 CF card readers i find on the internet are out of stock. im just checking to see if anyone knows where i can get one relatively inexpensive for the interim. used is fine by me.
