I have a client who edited a project with proxy files. I wanted to render the files through our RED Rocket card to Uncompressed or ProRes files to layoff for a tape to tape color correct. The files that come out of the RED Rocket card need to have the "_M" attached to them for FCP to reconnect to them but I can't figure out how to do this. Any ideas? What am I missing?

just thinking loud: have you tried to reconnect by pointing directly at the new file?

or export an XML, load XML into texteditor and delete "_M" (you can try with Find and Replace), save file, import into fcp.

take clipfinder as ben said or export a cmx3600 edl and load it in RedcineX, same with XML.

I ended up doing the conform in the Smoke from DPX files. The Smoke was in use yesterday and we only needed an HD output so I wanted to try and use FCP. I was thinking of just using an Applescript to add the "_M" to the files if I wanted to try the FCP workflow without Clipfinder.

Thanks.
