In 2K, yes I believe so. But 5K had a max of 30fps...
Michael / Joseph / (anyone), is the 120fps on the Fixed Scarlet in 2k or 3k? I was thinking it was only 2k and the max 3k fps was 30, but then I read this thread...
I know the best plan is to just wait until NAB 2011 for the most accurate information.

2k should go even higher!
Haha, caught me before I could edit my post. You are absolutely right, Joseph. I was thinking of epic-x, which was (is?) supposed to shoot 2k at much higher rates.
so if epic-s has 250fps at 2k epic-x must be 500fps?

But what about this S35 Scarlet? It only had a max of 30fps. Adding the boards for HDRx would only bring, at the most, 15fps of HDRx. Pretty useless if you ask anyone who's wanting to shoot primarily for MOTION.
Guys, don't forget that shooting at the lower resolutions aren't always that attractive in the sense of the camera's FOV ... shooting at 2k is going to be a vastly reduced field of view compared to 5k -- which you may be able to work around but important to keep in mind.
Red doesn't line skip like Canon and other brands who go from large sensors down to 2k resolution ... but the only drawback is that when you crop the sensor from 5k to 2k you "see" a lot less, almost going from a wide angle to a zoom .....
But, you are aware of the realtime downscaling to 1080p (and hinted to maybe being 2K. Right? In this, you will not be cropping the sensor.
And of course, this is likely to result in MORE processing, not less. Leading one to believe that these downscaled images, even in the Epic, will come with the result of LOWER frame rates, not higher, as cropping the sensor would allow.
And thinking this through to the 3K Scarlet, it would not seem that you'd get higher frame rates than the 120 fps at 2K since I very much doubt they would crop the sensor to get 2K. And, that is consistent with Joseph's suggestion that the in-cam downscaling to 1080p will reduce frame rates as well.
