I've been thinking a lot about using the Red Bricks instead of the modules. I came across the idea of using the Red Battery Plate attached as a rear-end module, sort of like a Redmote. As it is now it won't attach, but would it be a possible (cheaper) solution from Red?

a v mount battery module would be a great idea. redmote is wirless anyway, for studio set ups or needing some extra back weight for any reason, this would be perfect. not to mention epic consumes so much less power than R1, and having red bricks as is, this would be a perfect addition to the accessory line up.

and you can always switch to redvolts when you need the smallest rig possible.

combined with the need for p-tap for any other accessory this is a double winner.

Great idea! Having an integrated design without needing any cabling is always good, plus it's dirt cheap to rent a bunch of V-mount batteries.

I would put a vote in to have some sort of generic battery percentage readout to the brain though, even for non-RedBricks?

Cheers,

Paul

The last screenshot I saw of the HUD showed battery voltage - would that suffice?
