Dear All

I am editing 90minutes length movie. I am finalizing color correction now. What color did, it really demolished my transitions, I had spinning and zooming transition, also stop scenes, but somehow color imported badly and it changed actual shots. How can I restore it in FCP when I sent back, I cannot restor, I am editing proxies in FCP but I am editing Red files in color. So I should put shots which were spoiled in FCP on new sequence and then sent to color again and render, then send back to FCP and add to the particilar places now this shots.

Is this good workflow?

thanks

Color does not accept anything other than basic (dissolve) transitions from FCP.

You should read up on preparing FCP timelines for Color.

Also, you'd be much better off not using proxies in this workflow - use imported ProRes and clipfinder to relink. This workflow has been discussed here many times.

This might work...

Grade in Color
Export the parts with the transitions from color with sufficient handles in Color.
Apply the transitions in FCP
Export "baked" files.

Ben is right, but as far as I understand you, you have finnished your edit already...

Yes I finished

I used color fixer for each color project.

FCP recognized some transitions such as speed up, zoom, and filters, but it did not recognized spinning effect and accelerated zoom in. There are only 3 places which needs to be corrected

so my question is, if I can make the shots which were spoiled in color on separate sequence and then send to color, once corrected then sent back and I will add this effects in FCP and I will add these 3 shots to whole movie sequence in FCP

I thinks this will work willn't it?

Yes.

You could consider making cuts on each side of the transition so that only the transition itself (and not both of the clips) gets rendered by FCP...

In other words FCP will render what needs to be rendered and what which already was rendered in color :)
