3.5K mode?

Hi all. I'm assuming that the Scarlet 8X will include a "look around" area like the R1. I'm sure the guys at Red will enable it at some point in the future even if it's not available at release.

Just wondering if this is a release feature...care to comment Jim/Jarred?Graeme/Deanan et al. ? Only asking because I havent seen any mention of this in any Red documentation.

hmm. i'd like to know as well... i definitely like the look around. once you have it, it's hard to give it up. maybe you can milk a little 3.5k out of it...

You mean extra rez for reframeing in post?

yes, or if you have to uprez it to 4k at some point... possibly intercut with R1 or Epic footage.

precisely, just like 4.5K mode on the R1.
Does the Scarlet have enough firepower for this in it's guts?
