I just renewed my "American Cinematographer" subscription and I was surprised to see that filmtools.com has the best deal on it - 75$ for 4 years is pretty amazing. Might even be worth a look for people that already have a subscription.

Still the best magazine around I think. What other subscription do you guys have?

I won a free year's subscription over a decade ago and they haven't missed an issue since-- but don't tell. :yesnod:

i read film and digital times its very good :) (i won 1 year free subscription with tiffen promo google it dunno its still available)
i have a qustion about ICG Magazine sent them mail about if they have any online subscripton but no reply...would like to read that one too
Dont want to subscribe for paper mag its damn expensive for me (im from Turkey)

cinefex is awesome, quarterly but worth the wait, and you can buy some old issues too. Not cheap, but worth it. www.cinefex.com

I like ordering old editions from ebay and the like. They are the only mag that really lock onto a film and do it justice. Each one is like a book on a specific film. Awesome mag.

cinefex is definitely amazing, of course it is narrowly focused on visual effects - so make sure that's your cup of tea... but if it is, you best drink up!

Hm, I have heard of cinefex before but never checked it out - I'll definitely give it a try, thx...

Cinefex? VFX? Oh man. I am missing out! *heads to check out the action* ;-)

Nothing comes close to Cinefex. Period. Every edition is a veritable tome in current effects as applied to current projects.

Waiting for the Tron edition.
