  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDColor 2 and REDGamma2 for FCP Apple Color?

First the SDK update will come, then...

The first step is supposed to happen "soon"...

I am even more curious as to when the RedRoom will get curves...

At the same time, remember how long it took us to get the new color science in Color...
 
I export redlogfilm dpx from rcx and I grade them in Color. I think it's a better quality compared to raw workflow in Color.
 
If you want my 2c, pregraded uncompressed 444 files in Color (and in the few other RAW color tools I have tried) beats RAW only by a factor of 5:1 qualitywise...

I can think of a multitude of reasons for that, but the results are the most important...
 
Also Color can conforn very well a dpx edl.
