  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Repair of Red Battery Charger?

RED will repair out of warranty chargers for $195.. no questions asked.

When did this policy happen? It was my understanding that Red didn't repair chargers or batteries.

The issue is with batteries. Since our RED BRICKS are a Class 9 dangerous good due to the lithium ion content, they cannot be shipped if damaged. This is a government regulation thing, not a RED policy. Fines, jail time, the whole nine yards.

Great - I'll be sending my dead charger to Red Pinewood then! Thanks Brent!

So could we walk in a damaged red brick for repair?

You could walk it in for evaluation, yes. Depending on what is wrong, we may or may not be able to repair.

So - where does that leave those of us outside the US with failing batteries within the 3-month warranty period?
