Record buttons tactile feedback on scarlet and epic

I had a great moment as 1st AC on a shoot where the camera op called rolling, and the sound guy immediately asked "are you sure?" I checked the rear tally light and announced that he was indeed rolling. The sound guy calls out again, "No, really, are you sure? I can hear the fans running." It was my bad, our last shoot was MOS and the fans were set to "Variable" rather than "Auto." A little quick knob fiddling and we were all set, along with a "thank you" to a guy who continued to prove himself for the rest of the shoot as the most attentive sound guy I've ever worked with.

But what do you mean with physical positions? The fact there's one on the front and another on the side, or that i'ts a distinct feeling when pressed?

The camera and / or REDmote can also provide an audible "beep" to confirm that you have entered / exited record.

Same comments apply to Scarlet.

Excellent news. I miss the "run" beep we had back in the film days.
