  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New color science...

Yes! This is a huge advancement in the RED program. I'm prepping for a feature right now and the DP fell in love with the new color science for our offlines. Both the DP and the 1st AC (who have worked with the RED One for years) proclaimed, "it finally looks like film". Anyways, color me impressed and excited to run this new color science through its paces on this feature.

I think Sony etc. will always have trouble keeping up with RED because in addition to developing and releasing improvements at a feverish pace, RED develops all aspects of their program in parallel at this pace.

I don't post here often, but I am liking the new color space options. It was something I never liked until RedColor and now this. I thank you for still taking the time to improve R1's when you've got so much more to do regarding the more highly talked about cameras.

just gorgeous! just amazing how you can go back to an older image and make it new again.
