Hi,

The camera named the ".RDM" the wrong way = "Z007_1113WL.RDM". When the RDC and .R3D are right =

E007_C001_1115SD.RDC
E007_C001_1115SD_001.R3D

can i rename the "RDM" as "E007_1113WL.RDM" and don't interfere during the conform (offline to online)

regards

.RDM

.RDM

Can you send me the LOG file from your camera, what you claim is "not possible" .... stuart@red.com

And as it is "not possible", I don't know the answer to your question - so go ahead and try that...

Sure it can. I bet They formatted the mag on the 13th with the camera set to z as the slate then didn't roll till today the 15th with the slate set to e.

Hi Stuart,

To explain the full story, we reach roll A999 on A camera and since there is no way to get roll A1000, we switch "A" to "Z" to continue (B, C and D are already taken).

I'm data wrangler on set and realize that when i render for offline in DNXHD (MXF), Redcine (build 321) name the "Z006_C001_1115UQ.R3D" to "_006_C001_1115UQ.MXF".

So, during render to MXF, "Z" become "_". Not what we want !

So, we put the camera to letter "E" and the R3D are named "E" but the .RDM folder is "Z" for the next roll we shoot.

All the other roll we shot after that are alright, RMD, R3D, etc. are named with the E letter.

regards

As such, if you renamed the .rdm now, before it goes to the lab and editorial it should be fine. So long as every one sees it that way and it is that way everywhere.
