  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

live feed from the RED ONE to the web

fount: "a source of a desirable quality or commodity"

You can also use "font", as in "come thou font of every blessing"

We use the HD SDI from the Red to an AJA IoHD. Make sure you set the feed to 'Clean' in the camera, so you avoid the timecode and frame guides.

Almost everyone I know is using WireCast, as Mark said, its the deal.

Mostly I just want to throw out some options.

There is a product called UStream... but its sort of limited. You have to use their streaming service.

NewTek has a few cool hardware tools for this. That's an understatement really.

TriCaster and Video Toaster both can take your SDI stream and turn it into web video.

The Toaster is limited to SD I think, but the Tricaster can handle HD, if you buy the right model.

You can replace a big chunk of the gear in a live truck with a Tricaster. Tricaster may be overkill for your application... but it kicks a$$.
