Hi!

I'm working on a video where I edit the proxys in FCP 7 without conforming to quicktime. Some shots are shot with different resolutions so I have to Scale up/scale down some shots to fit the sequence. When I do that I have to render the clip and when I try to render it a message comes up and tells me:
"Codec not found, you may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card."

My sequence settings have REDCODE as the compressor.

I have tried to reinstall FCP, trash my user pref's but the problem is still the same. How can I fix this?

You have to set your timeline to prores.

You cannot render redcode.

have you tried to drop a proxy to the timeline and let FCP set the sequence settings?

Cheers!
