Hey everyone,

Is it just me or is the QT export broken in RCX 64bit for Windows?
All the other formats allow me to open the Settings drop down menu, QT does nothing.

I tested with 326, 339, 340 they all behave the same.

If I install, however, the 32bit versions of the above, everything works as it should.

Win7 64bit Pro, QT 7.6.6 Pro, Intel i920@4.2GHz, 12GB DDR3@1600MHz, OCZ Vertex2 40GB system drive, 5xSeagate Barracuda 500GB single platter RAID0

Which codec? Maybe it's not available under 64bit.

It does not open the Settings tab for Quicktime, so there is no codec to choose from.

I have experienced similar results (same versions as above) ... I also can't select QT settings. I click on the button and nothing happens...

And QuickTime is working normally on that machine?

I just re-tested this on windows with 32/64 bit builds, and it's all working ok on our end. Has anything changed with your QuickTime installation? If you can, please turn on verbose logging and recreate this, then send the log file to redcinex at red dot com so I can take a closer look.

Thanks!

Hi David, no changes in my QT install. As mentioned in the original post, this happens only with the 64bit version of RCX. 32bit version works just fine on the same system, with the same QT install.

The logfile states a timeout of the QT dialog process.

Bogdan thank you for the log files.

It turns out the issue was the dialog was taking much longer than expected to display on your machine so the act of displaying it was being aborted.

A fix is in place for your issue and will be released in the next build.

I haven't had time to test but I predict that is the same issue for me... And I commend you guys at RED for being so awesome at troubleshooting and updating your software!!!!!!!!

Matthew, thanks for looking into this, much appreciated.

Also when selecting dpx , folder button won't work unless I first choose r3d trims and then it shows up again.
The "Select Output Folder..." button is only enabled if the drop down above it is set to "Output with Clip Filename to Selected Folder". The only reason that switching to "R3D Trim" enables the button is that it switches to "Output with Clip Filename to Selected Folder" automatically, since that's the only option it supports.

So, long story short, use "Output with Clip Filename to Selected Folder" instead of "Ask for Output Filename" if you want to export to a specific folder.

in build 346 it seems me too can't open quicktime settings dialog... no matter what.

First, make sure you have Quicktime installed. If you do not have Quicktime installed then the dialog will not pop up.

There was an issue in previous builds pre-346 that we fixed where the Qt dialog could time out opening on windows machines. We now give the dialog around 30 seconds to show up so it should not be timing out.

If you have quicktime installed and the dialog is still not showing up please enable verbose logging.. press the setup button where it should be showing up and then send us the log file to redcinex at red dot com.

So is this issue fixed in 346 or not? I can't seem to get it working.
