  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I actually offered mine for what I paid for it before suddenly realizing how stupid that was and quickly retracted before the guy took me up on it. With Epic and SSDs in hand, I could see letting it go. But until then, this thing is gold.
 
Value really is utility factored with the ability to replace it.

In my price is the notion that I will lose some rental days at $1000 until SSD ships.

In Montreal some people are renting drives for $500 a day - and they are often booked so you can't even have that!

If I had no drive, and needed to shoot a doco series, I would myself pay that much.

Red Raid 320, but with few hours on it and never taken into crazy circumstances (mostly used in studio type shoots)

Like I said, you can make a reasonable offer. No harm in offering.

To Jean: That's good to know - MTL Video's are often booked up, and other places have been gouging pretty bad.

I was, see revised ad though, which, who knows, might result in even more - thing is: what is its true value? Where can I buy another one? Where can I even rent one? How much will that rental cost? What if I get a documentary shoot next week for 10 days with lots of interviews? How long until the SSD media comes out? Will anyone want my package with just CF cards? How many full package rental days - which are at least $1000 each - will I lose until I buy the SSD media?

Then there is the price of SSD media - which will quickly add up to 5K or 6K all told. We have another large purchase to help finance, otherwise I would not sell it, even at that price.
