Hi friends --
I typically make QT ProRes 1/4-res 720p files for offline editing, then go back to 4K R3D for onlining later with a colorist.
In RedRushes, I can set the Look Source to Camera, the color and gamma space to Look Source. That's great because the transcoded footage typically looks very close to how the DP intended it to look.
I have learned that for an upcoming RedMX shoot, I can't use RedRushes, and I need to use RedCine-X. There are all sorts of extra color grading options than in RedRushes, but I don't want to adjust anything -- I want the transcodes to look the way the DP shot the footage.
This may have been covered already, apologies if it has, but is there some similar configuration in RedCine-X as in RedRushes, wherein my transcoded QT files will look "the way they're supposed to" without me messing with the color at all?
Thanks!
