Enjoy your free time. Suddenly you will be released from the dungeon of the computer room. What will you do? Say hi to your wife and family? Go to the park? Fly a kite?

Mac Pro 8 core, 16GB ram. Intel Xeon 2.26

I've also got a Matrox MXO2 LE inside the box. Hope I can keep it...

I've got a similar setup Frazier. MXO2 LE in one of the slots and RR and esta in others. Be sure Rocket goes in slot 2 as there have been problems in other higher slots. My PCI config is attached here. If you are using HDSDI out, you'll have to get creative. I just cut holes in the back of my mac and mounted them out the back. There is a thread somwhere on this and I posted pics how i did mine. Others went out the front (second) dvd slot with the HDSDI's. I chose not to since i use both DVD's one blue ray the other just dvd.

good luck! that card will have you pumping away footage for days. Nice to come back after a shoot and one light everything in RCX; pump it out to prores and work it in the timeline and all in the same day you shot it....and have time to cook dinner.

sure I'll see you soon Frazier.
best,
Johnny

Hey, I just got my Rocket in. Can you guys give me some tips on what type of equipment I need to get this running? I tried to hook it up to my 2nd dvi monitor but it's got no signal even though my Mac reads the updated rocket card. I'm not experienced with post-production hardware workflow.

PS what's the difference between hd-sdi and quad-dvi as far as viewing? Can I use both at the same time with different monitors through the rocket?
