Will a lens made to cover an APS-C size sensor work correctly on an S 35?

Is there any crop factor of APS-C lenses on an S35 sensor?

If you are talking "crop factor" relative to a full frame 35mmm lens, it would be about 1.6. But, if you are comparing your frame from an APS-C with that on your S35, they'll be about the same. As I am sure you know (but just to avoid talking at cross purposes) a "crop factor" is always relative. There have been plenty of disagreements here on REDuser as to what the "standard" is - some say FF35mm other say S35.So, it's a loaded question in a way.

I guess what I am trying to say is that the S35 sensor is about the size of the APS-C. Does that answer your question?

Why?

Why?

Yes, but if I use a wide angle APS-C lens on a Scarlet S35 will there be vignetting or something like it?

I'm considering picking up this lens to use on the AF-100 and I want to make sure it'll work with Scarlet S35 in the future.

This is a 4/3 format lens. It may or may not cover S35(probably will being a 45mm) The guarantied IQ is for 4/3" format which is 22mm diagonal as opposed to approx 30mm for S35. There are so many wonderful dedicated APS format lenses especially in this FL range for a fraction of th price I might add.
Why this one?
