Hey guys,

We recently shot a music video on the R1, edited it in FCP, and colored in Color.

It premiered on Headbangers Ball last week, and I noticed that our video, compared to the others I watched wasn't nearly as sharp. The other videos seemed a lot crisper. The video looks incredible on Vimeo, Youtube, etc. though.

I tried several searches for tips/best way to export R1 footage for TV, but really couldn't find what I was looking for.

Is there a best way to export footage for TV?

Thanks guys!

If you like that video look, add some sharpening – R1 doesn't add any sharpening in camera like most any video camera. Plus, what is your medium for screening?

i watched the video on a normal flat screen tv, my mom had dvr'd the show, just normal sd cable. i guess, what i meant was, on vimeo, or youtube in 1080/720, our video looks as it should. its incredibly crisp and sharp. but once i saw it on basic television it looked fuzzy, or the equivalent to 360p on youtube... where as the other videos on the same show were crisp and sharp, like ours is on vimeo/youtube hd. i just was wondering if perhaps we did something wrong in exporting the final product.

Well, come on, DVD is SD only!
