copact flash cards? what should i use?

i am abot to film with the red one.

we only have on 16gb card. the one tha comes in the packege.

im in guatemala it takes to long to order from red an arrive in time.

what is an other brand i can use and what speed?

I think you must use Red CF cards. Nothing else is fast enough.

The lexar 300x 8GB (and only the 8GB) will work, but not @ 4k 16:9.
They will work for 4k 2:1 and are pretty standard commodity in many photo-shops.

Remember that the verdict on the lexar 16GB 300x is mixed, and I wouldn't bother without trying. I think it may have worked with one specific firmware, and than have been locked out.

So you will only be able to record above 2k with the lexar 300X 8 GB and RED cards.

The Che movies were shot on lexars BTW.

Being more a drive guy than a CF guy, I didn't realise you could shoot any 4k modes to non-RED CF. How about 4.5k ? Thats only 8.6mp against the 8.38mp of 4k2:1
