We have a 20k TV commercial project with some air traveling scenes. Shot on RED of cause. We need a location that has an airport luggage scanner and a business class seat. Does anyone know any solution. Thanks.

Airports are near impossible to film now with security. Spend the $ on a really good ART DIRECTOR and fake it. Will be more cost effective.

Try approaching an airline about using their ground training facilities where they train cabin staff and airport staff. Some of them go for so much realism that they have fully fitted parts of actual aircarft cabins as training aids.

Thank you guys. I will try your suggestions and see which one works.

This is good idea! Do you know anyone good at this?

Air Hollywood is good but may break our budge. What did you do? We need some talents of cause.

Regarding Air Hollywood and budget - times are tough here in Hollywood - so I bet you could negotiate a very good rate depending on what you need...if you need a local producer I can hook you up with Chris Stinson who I know managed to get good rates from them before.

Can you get stock shots from older movies, and with permission matte your actors closer to the camera to cover the original actors, like green screen work?

My Brother got the behind the sceans DVD for one of the Bond films, and they need to reshoot a shot so that they could change the dialog, so the did a matte shot of the actor closer to the camera in front of her previous shot using the original shot as the plate.

With some skill you could even cover the original actors if the move a bit or are walking, maybe cut and paste some to replace things in the original "plate" you take from stock shots or even stills?

A bit like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004).

You can also combine the background plate with partal sets in the foreground to make it "sell" better.

You can "air brush" stills of the inside of planes and airports etc. in Matrix they took photos of building and mixed and matched parts to make plates with their "new" backgrounds, if I remember right.

LOL

I went to a Bat Mitzvah where they did this with an Austin Powers movie.

Damn that was funny. Pretty sure it was also completely unlicensed. For some reason it really amuses me when I see completely off the wall bootlegs.

Way better than Episode One:
