I like how Kiselev from the GH! hack said:

VK: I recommend to buy that is actually available now if you want to shoot something. Otherwise you’ll be waiting for second coming.
For those of us waiting for the scarlet.

The lack of credible 50p FULLHD support on the GH2 is going to help scarlet sales. It would be interesting if they could introduce it though.

They are also talkig about a fast 4/3rds lens (but you can buy this instead: http://cgi.ebay.com/NOKTOR-f-0-95-L...83221843?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item4aa43fc253 )

Seems like a good substitute while I wait for Scarlet.

Slow shutter in video mode and no line skipping +++

How do they do this without line skipping or binning? Does it take the entire 16 MP image and downsize it to 1080 x 1920 by resampling it?

Being a fan of the 4/3 glass I own, my dream camera (other than Scarlet/Epic) is a weather sealed E-3/E-5 body with the Panasonic GH2 sensor and video capabilities (unlocked so they can be not hacked but programmed) with Olympus's TruPic image processor, wifi, and an Android operating system. It looks like Olympus is never going to produce another 4/3 camera, and Panasonic has said that as well, so it's never going to happen, though, which is a damn shame.

Why would you say that? Olympus introduced two new 4/3 models this year. In fact it is the only format they make for DSLR or interchangeable lens cameras. Maybe they will go exclusively m4/3? No mirror reflex cameras, EVF only?
