So I am currently getting my first RED project set up and I came upon a question. I am using Redcine-X (the most recent build) to transcode my footage to ProRes 4444, and there are several shots that are 3, 4, or 5 minutes. I understand that REDCODE clips are limited to 2 GB, and these shots are two or three seperate codes. How do I go about loading these into RedCine-X? I apologize if this was already answered, I searched and couldn't find anything. Thanks to all for help in advance.

So I kept playing around with it and found the "Choose Folder" button. Seems like that would be a logical selection, but I am not really a morning person. It's transcoding now, but if anyone knows whether this is right or wrong please let me know. Thanks.

Not sure where your "Choose Folder" button is. Don't worry about clips in 2GB chunks. Just use the Browser tab down the left side of Redcine-X. Navigate to your clip (Redcine-X just sees all the chunks as a single clip). Drag it in the Player and/or the timeline. Choose to export from either Player or Timeline as appropriate. Make your export settings, and destination folder. Hit Export button and wait quite a long time on a laptop!!

"Choose Folder" is right under the File dropdown, but I prefer your way. The one I used originally worked as well, though. And it's taking a good deal of time on my Mac Pro, I couldn't imagine doing this on a laptop.

To clarify. Red handles the combining of the R3D clips for you. All you need to do is load the frist one and it will take care of the rest.
