There are many posts about what we want, what we should want, what we don't like, how stuff should work, how stuff works and what content we like. Or don't. Another thread reminds me...I should post for all the world to see my deep love for:

My Miller Arrow 55 Fluid Head.
There are many others like it, but this one is mine.
She is always there for me, in snow, in rain, in dust storms, in windstorms, in studios with malicious clients and malodorous crew.
She costs and weighs half as much as my mistress Oconnor but unlike she, Miller 55 is there for me every day.
She gives me silky, locked tight movement love the equal of that temptress. (ok, almost. but sooo close. now shut up. its my love letter)
I have treated her very poorly at times, yet she still loves me like the first day, never asking for more or less.
She does not get the looks on set that my mistress does, but I know the truth.
We've had some tough times - I broke her handle collar, and gummed up her works with grit more than once - and her family supported me unconditionally, always jumping in to smooth things over.
She is so much less demanding than the other girls, so much less needy for space, muscle and money.
Yet, she can handle all but the heaviest glass and rigs, still smooth as silicon spray on a hot desert shoot lunch break.
No matter the weather, be it a red day, sony day, arri day or panasonic day, she cheers me on, always resolute and dedicated.
And as I move into middle age and dream of smaller cameras, I know she is the girl for me till death do us part.
Other things in my truck change, but she will not.

I love her, my Miller Arrow 55.

I too echo the sentiments of this Love Letter. My big beefy O'Connor's get all the glory, but my first true love is my Miller 55 Arrow. I still take her out on the town now and again when I need something fast, light, and oh so smooth.

My 2 are treating me well. Easier on my back. Waiting for the smaller Epic.

Life without 55 is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.
My 55 makes me young again by the hour, week, month, year......

We just got her too...

Her handles on the legs seem a bit flimsy? Have they ever broken off on anyone's girl?
