what is best way to export a still for billboard or magazine ad from an r3d file. Snap shot gives me 4k tiff but at 72 dpi???? How do I scale this properly?

thanks.

What would you like to scale it to. As others have said, dpi really isn't a measurement by itself. An 8x10" image at 300 dpi has the exact same pixel dimensions as a 33.3x41.7" image at 72 dpi. Both have 2400x3000 pixels. So are you asking how to upsample an image or convert it to a different dpi for logistical reasons. If you just want it to say 300dpi Richard has allready given you the answer. If you actually want to increase the resolution. There are lots of different options with various different results, depending on what software you have allready.

Actually is there somewhere where we can read more information on Epic and still photography?

I have a more basic question regarding processing still images from Epic.*
Can you open a RAW file from a Red Camera in Adobe apps like Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, ACR etc?

I love CS5 and Lightroom for what i do and am interested to know how Epic stills are going to fit in to my workflow. *Can we open the raw files in CS5 or do we have to convert to TIFF in a REd application first?

Can we add metadata in other apps like we do currently for still photos?

Sorry if these are very basic questions. Sorry not trying to hijack the thread either just felt these questions related a bit to the OP.

Currently, R3D files cannot be processed natively In ACR or Lightroom. However adobe is in the forefront of r3D support with both After effects and Premiere CS5, so hopefully at some point this will be implemented as well.
