  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Maybe I'm too trusting but I have full faith in RED that if there was another problem of any such magnitude we'd see another "Bug" posting here in Recon.
 
yea, not surprised, probably would've lasted longer if the idiot didnt spam across the board. either way, just like before Red One came out, its all a scam right? :-P

My logic? I stated it was just my ".02 cents" said what my "guess" was. What part of my statement was illogical, I never portrayed it to be substantiated or even correct, it was a guess, nothing more.

While I agree my remark was not very beneficial to the community, I would argue that your statement about my statement being illogical was even less so. So while it would be more beneficial to have only informative and educational posts. It's also nice to be able to just to just "shoot the shit".:smile5:

I get that we're all throwing out guesses here & it's possible that I read too much into yours, or maybe I'm just feeling a bit too argumentative today. Back to shooting the shit.

Contagion is the first feature production that will use mix of both RED1-MX and Epic.

That's for sure but also you are free to speculate when and where they will use several Epic Tattoos...
 
Contagion will use EPICs when they get back. It was just too soon to get a couple of things done SS needed so we asked him to begin with R1 MX. No big deal except here on the forum.

Jarred and I are so busy working on all the cool stuff here that we don't have the time to catch up on everything. This place shouldn't go crazy when we are gone...

Still crossing my fingers for outfitting our new facility with Epics instead of Sony cams ... haha

There is some info about "Contagion" floating about Twitter if anyone is interested.

This guy is an extra in some of the Hong Kong scenes: http://twitter.com/JaeLeung

This guy http://twitter.com/stuartberberich/status/25419710297 claims "Contagion" started shooting in Hong Kong today and starts in Chicago on Oct. 19th. I guess that is when they will start to use Epics as Jim said Soderbergh would starting using them when they got back.

Keep in mind anything you read on Twitter is not guaranteed to be valid.

I can confirm what this thread is saying as was on set yesterday for Contagion. Filming was out at HK airport and also Asia World Expo. SS was using a red with Lennon written on the side. Was hoping to see the epic in use but alas wasn't to be.
