O.K. just curious and I thought it would be fun to poll folks on this. What is the single feature that you look forward to the most on Epic, I know it has lots of new toys to play with, but if you had to pick one, which is the most important to you?

For me, (and I am kinda cheating since this is my thread), four words; Slo-mo in my hands! Not only do I get 4 or 5K Slo-mo but it is compact enough to easily hand hold (if needed), and I mean hand hold, not shoulder. This really excites me.

Compact and low weight (with almost all features) while being better than R1 - and most likely better than anything else comparable (and non-comparable)!

Have to say that compactness is my favourite, and DR the next. It's fun to carry filmlike cams with a big crew, but alone...
I do both...
All other nice features come as a bonus.

Nope, put it on the backpack add some glass and shoot. Not think so much... or rather: Not having to think so much.

Taking the R1 for a hike is fun, but it builds or breaks your back, depending on the day.

Having the roughly 13 stops (pretty comparable to the Alexa according to the chart RED showed) + 3 stops of HDR is a comfortable 15 stops of shooting (don't laugh at my maths...)

so we're back to "just shooting".

I start to enjoy that idea...

Second that.

Compactness, with no loss of features! Means I can shoot alone anywhere, anytime without being physically exhausted. Sometimes that's what's required in my market.

1. Highly compressed QT proxy stream with all the data along with 5k raw for easy editing.

2. A Magic button to take care of all the settings required for any situation.

3. Focus warning display in EVF and on LCD.

4. Sync lock of picture and sound (xml based data embedded in picture and sound).

5. Continue shooting ability up to 2 hours with 5K, 200fps.

1) Resolution

2) HDR

But if price was a feature that would belong on top!

I'm tired of guessing... I'll let you know after I have shot mine a while... Whenever that may be.

form factor - hands down. Already enjoying the M-X sensor, just want the form factor to KILL the use of 7D's ona pro shoot once and for all.. the latter is a POST NIGHTMARE!

01) Form Factor
02) Increased Dynamic Range (Even without HDR!)
03) Inertial sensors kicking out tracking data (At least Pan/tilt... Not much on this recently)
04) Wireless FF on AF lenses for Jib work
05) Proxy Module wirelessly feeding a stream to a director held iPad
06) Programmable focus electronic lens focus racks
07) Over cranking abilities
08) Less compressed Redcode for FX work
09) Truly integrated smart SLR lens mounts
10) That awesome shoulder mount that I tried on at Red Day NAB
11) Modularity (Is that even a word?)
