  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Stasis", short film

Slow start but was worth the time. I was worried it was going to descend into indie-"what is reality" territory but it stayed level headed and avoided the temptation. :D

This was quite an awesome short. Not too many turns and the ending was kind of just OK but the production values were top-notch and the editing flowed without any problems. All in all I liked it and it kept me entertained :)

Haha, that's my buddy Christian Swegal! He's a great guy and very talented. Also sometimes RED owner and shooter. But yeah, Stasis was shot anamorphic 35mm film.

A couple of years back he directed some sweet music vids - I was his one-man post dept / co-consiprator. We'd figure out some concepts that'd look cool, then we'd burn through the weekend doing effects and color madly. Or we'd be sitting in CO3 doing a telecine at 2AM, chatting about that new Red camera that was coming out someday soon... fun times. Not much sleep was had though.

Here's one shot on Phantom (640 I think as the HD wasn't out yet then?):

...and this one for Ninja Tune. Retro 70's Tron-style fun:

Really glad he's doing narrative stuff now - and that other people like it!
