Hi,

Has anyone puzzled through why the images don't show up in RED's documentation when viewed on an iPad.

I've tried opening them in iBooks and GoodReader.

I have subsequently tried saving them as various PDF types within Acrobat and PDF Pen, thus far to no avail.

It would kick ass to have these docs available in the field on the iPad.

Cheers,

Steve

The RED PDFs work just fine on my iPhone.

I have a 3GS with iOS 4.0.2. I can read them in iBooks.

I don't own an iPad, but I have used the RED PDF files with iBooks on an iPad.

I'd hazard a guess that something is wrong with your iPad.

Try opening them and saving them using Apple Preview... if that doesn't do the trick, then I'd restore your iPad through iTunes.

I had the same problem and ive read somewhere else on tinternet that Alexanders workaround of opening in Apple Preview on your Mac and sending it to print then select Save as PDF works.

Thanks,

Save As didn't work, but printing as PDF from within Preview did in fact solve the problem.

Thanks!

Steve

Steve - printing as PDF from Preview is not an option as this is greyed out . I presume it is because it is already a PDF file. Curious how do you did it. Lim

Sorry I should have been more clear.

Save as from the file menu in various apps did not work, but within preview select print, and in the subsequent print dialog on the bottom left hand corner there is a PDF drop down menu. Select save as PDF and the saved file now has images that are visible.

Hope this helps.

Thanks - it works - Lim

I must be missing something here. I opened the PDF in preview. I hit print. Print dialog box opens. Bottom left corner tab pressed. Everything is grayed out except: Save as Postscript and Fax PDF. What am I doing wrong. Downloaded new copy of the manual, Same problem. Please advise. Thank you.

I tried the same thing, same results. What did work was opening Apple Preview, open the file from within Preview, do a save as from the File tab, not the Print tab, it asked if I wanted to replace the current version and I clicked yes. It works. Try that and see if it works for you.
