I have to shoot a macbook monitor with my red one
and I'm getting lines and other weird moire looking
stuff. I tried everything I know to get rid of it - but
nothing seems to work - even that syncro scan thing.
Does anyone have any formula or settings for shooting
a computer monitor or specifically a macbook pro?

Thanks all.

Does resolution make a difference? I surmise that because it's LCD it's not the black bar artifact but aliasing of pixels. If it doesn't have to be sharp maybe try some sort of frosted film as diffusion to bleed the pixels into one another.

We did it a few weeks ago with no issues, start by setting the shutter to 1/60 th, then set the shutter mode to syncro, and then try adjusting the syncro control until the flickering goes away. I think it was somewhere between 41 and 53 when we did it but it changes if you change the monitor brightness.

Hope this helps.

Tim
