First of all, it's fantastic to have some of Adobe's top developers here, slumming with us! Your presence here is much appreciated.
I wanted to suggest a couple of functions and features that Adobe might consider for their PP, ACR, Bridge and AE software. If some of these functions exist already and I am just too clueless to know, please disregard.
Premiere Pro:
1. For R3D file settings, is it possible to have a larger preview screen to correct from? Right now all I see is a tiny window where I can make some very basic RAW-style adjustments.
2. Can you please add an ACR-style RAW Grad ND function to R3D settings? This Grad ND in ACR is an absolute life-saver for my Canon RAW timelapse sequences, and would be a huge benefit to Red shooters.
3. Speaking of ACR, is it possible to simply intergrate R3D files into the basic ACR program? This would allow us to skip over my first two suggestions. Right now, dozens of cameras - Nikon, Canon, Pentax, etc - are supported in ACR. Would R3D support be possible?
4. Please add ACR to Premiere Pro. For years I have been emailing Adobe asking them to please add an ACR importer to Premiere Pro so I can import my Canon CR2 files directly into Premiere. Please, please, please!
ACR:
1. Can you please add Exposure and Color Temp sliders to ACR in AE so I can ramp exposures in RAW sequences in the RAW phase across the length of the clip, rather than key-framing exposure in FX in the composition. Also, the ability to "ramp" color temp over the length of the sequence in ACR/AE would be huge. Many "day to night" timelapses, for example, might start out at daylight balance, but once the streetlights come up, you need to drop the color temp to like 3200K. If there was some way to put ramps on the CR2 sequences themselves, in ACR, this would be huge.
Bridge:
1. Can you please add R3D support to Bridge, so we can Browse, Manage and most importantly DELETE R3D files directly from within Bridge? Right now, PC users basically have no way to easily browse and delete R3D files, due to the lack of a R3D quicktime proxy codec. Did I mention "please".
AE:
Is there any way to add DNG or CinemaDNG image sequence export/render options in AE? My goal would be to convert CR2 files into something "RAW" that Premiere Pro can ingest, so I can ingest both RedRAW files, as well as Canon RAW timelapse into Premiere for a 4K finish. Right now it is not clear to me how I can bring my Canon timelapse into Premiere in a RAW format?
Thanks for your time!!!!
