How many hours does your RED ONE have?

We know there are many of you that have cameras that have worked every single week for the last 3 years. Dino's #31 comes to mind as being one of the busiest REDs in active duty.

Here is how to check.. Press the UNDO button and press the center Joystick Select at the same time to show you your camera info and how many hours ( HRS ) your camera has.

Feel free to post your hours here.. whoever has the highest number of hours ( and proves it ) wins a prize :)

Here's mine:

Holy crap... I thought I use my cam a lot but apparently not so much, only 435 hrs... lol.

That can't be right. Would it have been reset if it was sent in for service?

Nope. :-) Total hours is really TOTAL hours.

Haha... looks like I need to go out and shoot more.

2900+ hrs... Jarred, have you ever even turned you're camera off, lol?

Really interested in seeing what #31's hours are.

We do LOTS of testing with Jarred's camera. :-)

I'd also mention that we have had NO issues with Jarred's camera whatsoever. It is a tank. Bulletproof.

I can attest to that, as I have clocked myself few of these hours during the first RPP test shoot...

 Peter

I Know my Epic X will rank up there with the Top Shotaz, because it will be with me ALL the time.

So true.... My R1 was built a month or so before we started production.. and apart from the normal Audio Board upgrade and of course Sensor upgrade, over all these years It has never took a step sideways and needed fixing... and trust me, I beat the living hell out that poor camera.

What about the lowest hours... :crying:
I don't even dare to post the hours of my camera here.

Indeed.

How are the hours calculated - camera with power "ON", or the recording time? Some assistants keep the cameram"ON" all day, so that's 12 hours per day, while the shooting time is only 30-60 minutes total.
So what's this cunter showing - power on or recording counter?

I suppose the most hours that could have been accumulated would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 26,280. If anyone hit that mark, it's time to turn the camera off for a few hours.

What does the CYC represent? Cycles?

2932....is that enough?

Chaps

I have 2932 hours on "Ruby" serial 708. (But I have a busy couple of weeks coming up Jarred so I'll catch you yet!)

I've done most of those hours..........can RED upgrade me, I'm feeling like it's about time....

Hah! I could probably give you a run for your money to win the lowest hours title. Plus, appearance is still like NIB.

To be fair though, I had two cameras and one of them is no longer in my possession, so I don't know what my combined total would have been. I shot every hour on both cameras, so they were all mine. And for anyone wondering why I needed two cameras if I'm the only one shooting with them? I have a plan.

Hey RED, used cars are traded in according to mileage and appearance... how about putting out a Kelley Blue Book for R-1s being traded in for Stage 3 Epics?

Mine says 1004 hrs, which seems a bit on the low side (it´s only 120 working days in 2.5 years) - I thought I read somewhere that the counter was reset at the audioboard upgrade and then again at the M-X upgrade.

*unless of course it counts recording time.
