On the CML

"Geoff... love to hear this. But it seems reasonable to test the best of the new cameras.

EPIC is a 16 bit processing camera with an HRD mode we are anxious to compare with the F35 and Alexa. 5K at 120fps in a 6 lb package. It is going out on real movies starting now.

Let the fun begin

Great news!

I like the part about "the best of the new cameras?"

I thought Epics were already out there? Is this the start of Tattoo? Did Tattoo begin? Is this the future?

Hooray! Great news! Can't wait to hear the official announcement!

Jim meant HDR as in High Dynamic Range.

"Like a Vincent HRD motorcycle (after Howard Raymond Davies), or do you mean
HDR? (High Dynamic Range)
...just pulling your chain :-)"

"Dyslectic... and several other disorders".

Looks like the man is really busy... as always
Thank you Jim:party:

Waiting for my Epic Epic

It was like this:

1:----------------------

There will be a CML comparison test published very soon.

I am waiting for some software change that are coming soon before I do it.

The tests will be completely independent and done without the help of the
manufacturers.

They will not reflect the fact that one of the companies has stopped
sponsoring CML ! :-)

RED MX, Sony F35, ARRI Alexa.

LINK>>>

Briefly turning my irony mode off, does anyone have a link to the original post over at CML? When googling for the phrase, it only links to reduser.

Thanks.

Thats the link but I know if it'll work b/c or the login. Either way, it's in the "digital raw/log--VIPER..." forum under the post from 8/2 titled "Alexa ASA Limitation" and Jims post is like the 30th post. Hope this helps..
