This is my 8 year old step daughter's debut short
and she insisted on stop motion... other than teaching her the basics of imovie and how to shoot stop motion, the story, cinematography, FX, editing and direction and voice talents are all her...

Ok, so it was not shot on RED...because I told her she had to "earn the privilege" by FIRST making a film shot on FLIP HD... the modern age Super 8 cam...

So what do you think? Did she earn the right to shoot her next project on RED?

Pshh I could have made a movie ALMOST as good as that:001_tongue: Oh wait you didn't make that?? Just kidding, but amazing she's only 8! Well let her know it's been reviewed and it's excellent!

My 3-year-old little girl Xanthe and I really like it. Xanthe likes "the dragon's and the sword and the fire", and was very impressed by the sound effects and VFX. She found it a little scary but wanted to watch it again and again. Just going back for our fourth viewing now.

BTW for reference her other favourite shows are Totally Spies, Tintin, and Timmy Time.

Well done. Stefan and Xanthe

Tim, Nice video ... with you around she deserves to be given a chance on RED ONE ... than it will be again ... a new record on RED ONE !! :)))

It was great! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I say she definitely earned directing an other film! It all comes down to the story telling, but I think this time it should be preserved better by shooting it on RED.

Hope the next one comes out soon! :emote_popcorn:

This makes me happy.... thanks for sharing...

EDIT: but, the next time you post something of your daughter's in the Shot on RED section, it better be shot on RED :)

You got it! Thanks everyone. Her next project she wants to do GREEN SCREEN
and so will be shot on the RED M-X... what I love is her imagination knows NO BUDGET... what she wants to do next would cost about $150,000 for the short... LOL... so I told her we will have do it over quite a few weekends. :)
