I need a new monitor for my system.
I'm gonna get a Panasonic Plama for grading but also do need a good PC Monitor also for use on Set so it should be pretty reliable after calibration.
Do I really need to spend that much money on a HP DREAMCOLOR?
What about the DELL ULTRASHARP?
Any other Ideas?
What's the monitor of your choice?

I use a pair of HP LP2475w's as my gui monitors.

Nice IPS displays, wide viewing angle, good color reproduction.
Could probably get you by on set.

I have a gaggle of Dell 22 displays, 20 Cinema Displays, 40 Samsung LCD TV's etc..

I prefer the 24 Dreamcolor above all the others. Its just easier to calibrate it correctly. All my other displays have somewhat odd effects at off viewing angles, some worse than others, and none of them seem to be quite as rich of an image - Even when all are calibrated.

That being said, if you learn a monitor, you can often accurately determine what its limits are and correct for it manually. I did that for a long time before breaking down and getting the HP.

Best luck with your purchases!
