Dear Redusers,
As many of you will know following today's sad news that the Lib/Con coalition government plans to axe the UK Film Council. Personally I think that this is a very unwise move. Since it's funding in 2000 it's invested over £160,000,000 in over 900 films such as 'Man On Wire'(Marsh, 2008), 'This is England' (Meadows, 2006) and 'In The Loop' (Iannucci, 2009) to name just a few. I think that the move to close it would be a silly move. I thought that I would post this to test the reaction of Redusers and also to see if you think the UK Film Council is an institution worth saving. I think it is.
peace
Matt
