  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Tricky One

I say make it in Canada or provide Kits so we can make them ourselves

70 circuit boards, 11,000 parts, and instructions in Ingrish.:out:

I like the idea of final assembly, testing, and QC in the US at least. Even for a modest premium.

The sad reality is that price is king. Red has obviously done their research to see what the market can bear. I face this everyday with my business and in the end I have to be competitive with everyone else. The best they will do is "designed and assembled in the US".

I am only talking about the Scarlet and the market they are going after. The Epic follows different rules.

I don't think the original poster has driven an american made vehicle :P

I'd like it as much as the next guy due to the fact that it would be giving someone in my country a job, but I'm way more worried about quality on these sides of the waters to be honest.

What market are you talking about? Do you think RED is going to release a Scarlet that will compromise in quality? The market they're going after with the Scarlet will include people who have $5K-$50K to spend on a camera.
