I'm selling the most underrated (here) zoom lens. The Cooke 20:100 is a legend in the industry. There were more movies shot with it than any other zoom I'm sure. In fact there were features shot entirely on this one lens.(can't think of the title now- will try to find it)
This particular one has an important upgrade of a dumb side focus scale. It matches the assistant side perfectly- custom engraved(see pic)
Pl mount, comes with the support bracket. The flight case(nice and clean with relatively fresh foam insert) is also included in this sale.
Since I work on lenses for living I can offer a 3 month parts and labor warranty.
Glass clean some very minor coating hair lines on the rear. Absolutely no effect on the image guarrantied.
It has the desirable "cozy" warm vintage look-will match Baltars, old Cooke Panchros or Lomos , Canon K35s very well IMO.
and now the best part: price is a very motivated $3950 for everything.
Located in the Los Angeles suburbs(Newbury Park)

still here- taking offers

I own a 20-100, ultra sexy lens on the Red. With MX, the T3.1 should be a non-issue. This is a great price for a fine piece of glass...I paid nearly double two years ago!

Hope you don't mind the endorsement, Jacek...

Just weighted

Just weighted

Yes, a very fine lens. Especially for that price. A groundbreaker in its day and still going strong. Weight, 12 pounds thereabouts. Think of it as a slightly fatter Red 18-85.
Just put it on a scale
10.5 lbs with bracket and caps. A little lighter than the 18-85 RPZ I think...
Thanks for the positive comments: There is a good reason why these were so popular. By far the best zoom in the 1980's-way ahead of its times.

Jacek, wanna trade for an underwater housing for RED1 or Epic? (or whatever)

I have a birger mount and canon lenses, but it would be nice to have a PL zoom for the pl customers.

Also, off the subject, see this thread:

Can someone make me a Pentax 645 to PL mount adapter? Duclos? Jacek?

Not a big deal, the published specs I've seen on the Cooke 20-100 say 11.5. (Pretty much matching the weight I get when I weigh mine 11.7 w bracket.) The Red 18-85 published specs 4.5 kg / 9.9 lbs.

Fair enough:
And, let me tell you- I absolutely don't mind the free bumps

I love shooting with this lens, one of my favorite reasons is the way that the lens out front balances the RED very well and I feel like my pan/tilts are far more effective, smooth and natural.

What a great zoom!

pm'd you

they are nice lenses.. and im always tempted to buy another one (i used to have a 25-250)
but both lenses just breath too much for my liking:(

Zakaree, I kindly disagree. I've got a 20-100. It hardly breathes at all.

It has a certain dimensionality no other lens except its evolution, the 18-100, has. The lens flares are second to none when compared to other zooms. It has hardly any CA but obvious SA in the wide end. Plus it has a phenomenal closed focus.

The asked price is similar to that what I payed. But that was before the lens market went mad. Very good value for the money!
