  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Finally got a slider for the Red! Went out and put it to immediate use in a meadow near Bridgeport. Scouted all day, filmed with Red in the afternoon, and worked all night on motion-control timelapse in the woods. It's 10am now... time for sleep!

Tom,

I just wanted to ask you before who is that beautiful girl?

Then I clicked at the link below and have got it who she is.

Another Red MX framegrab, this time using new, updated Adobe CS5 color science w/ RedColor & RedSpace

Tom, let me know if you need to get into some really remote places via an "extreme" production truck. I can access places very few would consider, while carrying 4 extra people and up to 2000lbs of gear. ;)

Just got back from an awesome 2-day camping trip to the Troy Meadows area of the southern Sierras. It was gorgeous up there.

Here's a frame-grab from Red, not graded:

And here's another from a couple days ago.

No aliasing here, kids. :ihih:

Tom, I'm really looking forward to seeing your finished project, it's going to look super!

This is what I love about nature... that second frame... I thought for a minute I was looking at a close up of a plank of wood, but then the wood grain became small waves and then revealed the waterfowl at the top of frame. So abstract and perfect.

Enjoying the view... thanks for sharing Tom.

We woke up to a dazzling light show in Lone Pine, CA this morning!

The road up to Patriarch Grove in the Ancient Bristlecone forest just opened, so we started the season out with a crazy, spinning, 3-axis timelapse move. I love that place. Seriously.

Tom, this stuff looks awesome! That field of flowers with the snow-capped mountains in the photo above looks so serene....

Thanks for sharing!

A couple of recent iphone behind-the-scenes shots.

We are living way up in the High Sierra mountains now, with limited internet access. The producer of my film, Nigel Stanford, just arrived yesterday and will be shooting with me all week. I'm very stoked to have him here!

Shooting this evening at Mono Lake on a prototype slider Eric Kessler and I have been working on. This slider is made for Red One and Epic, so I might be very interested in having some of you guys here help me test and refine it as we get closer to a final design. I'm not a camera operator (I'm not even a DP!), so it would be nice to have some camera operators with a lot of experience, who know what features MUST be on this new slider.
