Hey all:

I'm currently in production for a web series called "Unreasonable TV" (check it out at www.unreasonable.tv) about an entrepreneurship bootcamp in Boulder, Colorado, where the top high-impact, socially conscious startup companies are living and learning here.

We're featuring a man who's started a radio station with farming information to benefit rural farmers in Nigeria, and we're creating a sequence with a radio broadcast, and want static shots of African villages/farms/plains to run under that (think similar to the beginning of "No Country for Old Men").

We're operating on a very limited budget, but can pay $10-25 for every shot that we use, based on quality and length. We're looking for things produced by anything from RED, DSLR, HVX, minimum resolution 720p.

Please contact me at d dot ryan dot patch @gmail.com ASAP - we'll need them by the end of the week.

Thanks!

Ryan

No-one is going to give you African stock even for web broadcast at 25 dollars a shot man...
If your budget can't go any higher check out some of the stuff of the micro video stock sites and you might get lucky with something for 50-100 dollars.

Thanks Jay, I know the market is generally much higher than that, but we're a nonprofit, and I thought I'd ask. I'm aiming for people who live there but don't make a living on stock. I know if someone offered me $100 for 4 shots of New York, I'd be all over that, simple money for shots I already have.

You sure this is not one of those American scams all those Nigerians has heard about :yikes:
:sifone:

Ha ha!!! If it was an American scam then the offer would have been $2,000 per clip!!

I am in Ghana and could get the shots but even in Ghana we would be paid way more than what is being offered. Good luck.

I am in Nigeria and can get you some shots on Red. However you will need to increase your bid significantly by at least 1 order of magnitude.

isn't that "entrepreneurship bootcamp in Boulder, Colorado" made up of well heeled venture capitalists, at least several of them retired dot commers? why not ask them to chip in a few bucks to pay a regular rate for a few clips?

if they give you some money to pay the starving shooters, buy it from this guy, his stock footy from Africa is second to none:

What Mery said!

Additionally I will be soon in Cape Town, South Africa were a new Film School is about to open, and I was asked to teach some classes, and since at last I convinced the School's President to buy a Red ONe instead of the Alexa, we could have some shots available as well, but no knowing of when..;~)
