Director's opinions

David,

your traslation is perfect, and demonstrate how an almost 8 minutes interview in italian, transforms into a few lines in English

È per queste ragioni che amo la lingua italiana.

or

I love italian.

:)

Did they shoot MX?

To me the MX is the most important part of Red in 2010.

Without MX the Red One is a neat camera. With the MX the Red One is an unparalleled digital imaging tool.

Ciao Gianluca.. e Benvenuto a Reduser ;)

Not sure what you meant by linking the vid of the interview, but I happen to
Respectfully Disagree with most of what it was said about RED as a DIGITAL
Media for acquiring images in a Motion Picture.

Unfortunately Italy (My very Beloved Country to were I'm at last returning
after 20 Years in the US) still has a very OLD mentality about Media
acquisition and how the new Digital Media relates to the Story.

However each Director will see it differently so I value his opinion, but just simply disagree when He talked how He chose RED
for this film He had just shot, only because He intended more for the movie to be like a TV movie and not a Cinema Movie, as He
thinks that for Stories were a more traditional look and high end sceneries, He would not use a RED a Video Camera, even so a Cinema Tool,
but not really his preferred camera as a DIgital camera is not good for storytelling as it allows you too much freedom t shoot forever
and there for crossing lines with your storytelling, were you don't control the environment as much and shoot freely because you can,
off course I completely disagree with his Opinion, but He is entitle to one, so god for him to share it, but completely irrelevant to this discussion,
so NOT really worth discussing what it was said as it would hijack this thread so please move on ;)

A question about nature on Red... Che was pretty bad (imho).
What recode datarate is it reasonable to use to capture complex scenes like moving trees, water...?
