We are having trouble importing external audio for audio syncing inside of build 252. RedCine-X does not recognize the wav files. We select the folder that contains the Wav files but nowhere in RedCine are the files accessible. Do the external audio files need to have a specific name or file structure?

They have to be in BWF (Broadcast wave format) format.

If your files are already in BWF format and the time-codes overlap the R3D time-codes then they will auto attach to the clip and be playable by selecting the external audio tracks from the preferred audio playback channels dialog.

BWF

BWF

They are WAV files at the moment. Can we just convert the files to BWF? The timecodes do not match. Is it possible to create an offset in RedCine-X?

There is not a way to change the timecode in the R3D, however when we release the next build with the Manual sync fix you will be able to attach bwf files with incorrect timecode values to any clip.

Currently you can only autosync bwf files with the proper timecodes, due to a bug.

Use Wave Agent from Sound Devices to add, change, correct, timecode in BWF files.
