  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Enter the void - NSFW

I am trying to find out how they did the pov shots in the film, I hear they are quite stunning.

Given that I absolutely hated Irreversible (and am not a fan of Gaspar Noe's films in general thus far), I'm a bit surprised by how interested I am in this movie. Really like the tilt/shift and the POV/following shots. It's got a really fascinating feel to it. The shots from behind the protagonist's head feel quite a bit like a third person video game (in a good way, that is, in this case). Nice and floaty.

Anyone know what this was shot on? 35mm? Digital?

As far as I know this hasn't played in NYC yet, but I think it's premiering at the Walter Reade theater here in August as part of their "Summer Meltdown" series. Will try to catch it then.

35mm for opening (20 first minutes) and Super 16 for the majority of the feature.

Cameras used : Aaton XTR prod Super 16 and Arricam LT.
