AVID MC5 2034 error on Export

Got a Mac Pro 2.93GHz with 6GB of memory, Mac OSX 10.6.3, ATI Radeon HD 4870, RED Rocket Card with latest firmware/driver... on exporting of a R3D clip to Apple ProRes 4444 getting this:

The export drive has 1.13TB available. QuickTime Player 10.0 & 7.6.6

Try trashing your user settings and create a new user. Don't know why it fixes it but it usually does.

Also, do you have itunes installed on the computer? Despite turning off automatic software updates on system preferences, itunes has it's own auto updater that needs switching off as well. When it does it's updates it usually includes the latest version of QT, which is usually incompatible with Avid. It's possible you have an incompatible version of quicktime that was snuck in the back door. I think currently only QT 7.6.4 is supported.

That's the PC spec Job... Mac is still 7.6.4

My info says MC5 for OSX is tested with QT X, not 7.6.4. Both the ReadMe and the Version Matrix.

QT 7.6.6 under Snow, or so my source at Avid tells me.

Yes you're right. I mistook the 'X' on the matrix to mean not supported, as in the opposite of a 'tick'.

err.... I'm blaming it on the chemo meds!!!!
